The Close Family Mission is to develop the potential of Camplazens to produce wines which are truly World Class and which best express the savours and aromas of this very special microclimate.

Camplazens is located at the site of a Roman Settlement on the top of the Limestone Mountain known as La Clape. Environmentally protected since 1965, the only permitted activity is cultivating vines and making wine. La Clape was an island at the time of the Roman Invasion of Gaul in 118 BC and Chateau Camplazens is one of the few vineyards located on the top of the mountain with the vines at an altitude of 150 meters and 2 km from the Mediterranean Sea.
