Château Simone

Château SimoneThere are 3 products.

Château Simone is unusual in every aspect. The oldest vines were planted in 1891. Even the experts are unsure of the variety of some of the old vines, which were planted as a mix of varieties. René Rougier and his son Jean-François, who runs the Château with his family, and who has worked the vineyards since 1952, has never replaced a vine during all his time in the domain. Their vineyard is farmed on north-facing limestone rubble on the side of the Arc Valley with a large range of grape varieties featured, of which some vines are over 110 years old. Palette is a tiny appellation in Provence with only 4 wine producers, 23 hectares out of 45ha of AOC Palette belong to Château Simone.

Thanks to the exceptional quality of wines and the uniqueness, Château Simone has been served at the table of the Elysée (Official Residence of French President) for almost a decade.
