L'Arbousier is the fruit of a partnership between Laurent Espinasse, winemaker in Southern Rhône Valley and Rhône-born Julien Peros.
The initial idea was to produce a boutique Côtes-du-Rhône White resulting from the blend of a Northern grape variety (Viognier) and a Southern one (Grenache Blanc). Harvests are entirely done by hands in small baskets and the grapes are stricly sorted at the cellar.
Fermentation starts with natural yeasts at controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks.
The wine is then aged in 225L barrels from Meursault during 8 to 9 months depending on the vintage, old oak (5-6 years old) only is used.
