Altesse

Altesse grape variety

Altesse, also called Roussette de Savoie, is grown in the appellations Bugey, Roussette de Savoie, Roussette du Bugey, Seyssel and Vin de Savoie.
Alone or blended with other grape varieties (chardonnay, mondeuse blanche) it can give two types of wine: a light dry white, generous, full-bodied, aromatic, elegant, with good acidity, suitable for aging; or a sweet white sparkling wine. Its typical aromas are apricot, almond, mango, honey with lemony notes.
