Cabernet Franc

Cabernet Franc is one of the oldest grape varieties grown in Gironde (1st century AD). Now it is grown mainly in Bordeaux region and Loire Valley, where it can be called breton. it gives a quality wine, very structured, perfumed, less colorful than a wine obtained with cabernet-sauvignon and less rich in tannins thus allowing a faster aging. Its typical aromas are those of cocoa, blackcurrant, strawberry, raspberry, menthol notes, green pepper, undergrowth, tobacco, violet.
