Cabernet Sauvignon grape variety

Cabernet Sauvignon is the king grape of Médoc and generally the Bordeaux region. However, it is also allowed in appellation in Provence region, susch as Côtes de Provence, Les Baux de Provence, and Coteaux d'Aix en Provence. Cabernet Sauvignon very often brings a very interesting tannic structure with a sustained color, generally suitable for aging and especially in oak. Its typical aromas found in its wines are blackcurrant, blackcurrant leaf, blackberry, dark chocolate, sweet spices, sour cherry, green pepper, plum and licorice.
