Cinsault

Cinsault

Cinsault grape variety

Cinsault is mainly grown in the South of France, in Provence where it brings suppleness to the rosé and in the Rhône Valley and Languedoc where it is usually part of the red wine blend. It gives a wine generally low in alcohol, low in acidity and color. When grown on hillsides, we can get wines with a beautiful red color, soft, fruity, with pleasant range of aromas, such as raspberry, almond, linden blossom and hazelnut.
