Melon Blanc, or Melon de Bourgogne, is a very old Burgundy grape variety. According to genetic analyzes, it comes from a natural cross between pinot and gouais, note for the story that they are the same parents of Gamay. This is the grape that make the famous Muscadet, a fresh, light, pleasant and high-acidity white wine, typical food match of raw oysters.
