Sauvignon Blanc is a world famous grape variety. In France, the best expression can be found in the Loire Valley, Sancerre or Pouilly-Fumé, but is also grown in Bordeaux and is part of the sweet wine appellation Sauternes. Its typical aromas are those of gooseberry, citrus, sometimes exotic fruits and strong mineral notes depending on the terroir.
