Trousseau grape variety

Trousseau is an old variety originating in Eastern France, mainly around the Jura region where it is permitted in all of their AOP. It gives a full-bodied wine with a beautiful intense purple color. Trousseau is usually meant to be blended with Poulsard, the latter bringing delicacy while the first improves the conservation. Typical aromas of spices, pepper and green pepper.
