The estate is nestled in the heart of Celles surOurce in the Côte des Bars with its unique soil and climate in Champagne similar to Chablis :clay limestone combined with a less rainy and slightly warmer climate, enabling an exceptional maturity for their Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

The essence of the domain goes back in 1898 when the great grandfather of Eric Legrand, pioneer of Côte des Bars, planted his first vineyard in Champagne. He was then followed by his son in 1930, a visionary back in the day, one of the first Winemaker in Côte des Bars, who taught all his knowledge to Eric , who half a decade later built his own Champagne Estate assisted by its two sons Edouard & Valentin.

The vineyard is the source of inspiration of this wine grower Estate : 55 % Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay, 10% Pinot Blanc spread on 27 plots, which are vinified separately, in order to take advantage of this large palette of micro-climate and soil. All the Champagne are made through a blending of 3 successive years in order to ensure a continual signature of fine Champagne.
